About Our Practice
Our consultation service was created to fill a need in American medicine. Too often, patients have nowhere to turn when they are facing serious illnesses. Doctors are frequently too rushed these days to spend significant amounts of time with patients, and the American medical system is increasingly corporatized and impersonal. Our service is there for patients when they need the assistance and advice most. We are not a traditional primary care practice, but rather a consultation service, staffed by knowledgeable physicians who can help with your medical concerns and questions.
Welcome to Expert MD Consult
Expert MD Consult provides expert medical consultation to patients dealing with difficult or life-changing diagnoses. We can provide a second opinion, guidance, advocacy, medical file review, or other services as agreed upon. Often, doctors don’t have enough time to address every patient concern. We can help.
Meet Alex Tien, MD
Alex Tien, MD, the founder of Expert MD Consult, is a family physician with more than 20 years of experience practicing adult primary care medicine. She has helped innumerable patients understand their medical conditions and navigate our complex healthcare system. The idea for Expert MD Consult came from seeing patients frustrated and frightened when facing serious illnesses, not sure where to turn. Our goal is to provided much-needed advice and guidance to such patients.
Alex Tien, MD
Alex Tien, MD, was born in Connecticut and attended Brown University for her undergraduate years as well as for medical school, in Brown’s Program for Liberal Medical Education. She completed her family medicine residency at Pawtucket Memorial Hospital in Rhode Island, and has been practicing primary care medicine in Massachusetts and Rhode Island for more than twenty years.
Our goal is to provide expert guidance and assistance for patients struggling with serious medical conditions.
